The International Leadership Foundation mourns the loss of Angela Chao, a titan in both business and philanthropy. We are all heartbroken at her passing, and the void she leaves behind is immeasurable, especially in our AAPI community.

As Chair and CEO of Foremost Group, an American company with worldwide operations, Angela carried the company forward. She built on the excellent honor, integrity, and performance legacy established by her father and company’s founder, Dr. James S. C. Chao. The Foremost Group made exceptional accomplishments during her leadership.

Angela was a long-time friend and strong supporter of the International Leadership Foundation. A steadfast advocate for education, and through her company’s support, countless students have been empowered by ILF’s Civic Fellowship Scholarships and inspired to pursue civic engagement and become the next generation of world leaders.

We honor her legacy of trailblazing leadership, pioneering spirit and as a kind role model for our community; she was full of passion and hope for people. Her warmth, kindness, and boundless generosity will be sorely missed. Our community is forever diminished by her absence. May her legacy continue to inspire us all.
