Washington, DC – Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the International Leadership Foundation is pleased to welcome 2024 Civic Fellows, the largest cohort ever since its inception in 1999. This year’s fellows boast of 47 accomplished and civically-minded Asian American and Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) undergraduate students from colleges and universities across the United States.

They are interning in government agencies from across the U.S. federal government, congressional offices, and think tanks. Each Fellow participates in leadership and professional development seminars as well as have the opportunity to engage with various business, government, and community leaders. This will equip the Fellows with essential tools and skills, enhance their networking capabilities, and train them to become civically engaged leaders.

“Given we celebrate our 25th anniversary this year, I am more excited than ever to welcome our Fellows,” said ILF Chairman, Dr. Paul Hsu. “For the past 25 years, our Fellowship program has carried on a crucial mission: shaping the future leaders of our community. By providing these talented students with opportunities to engage in public policy and hone their leadership skills, we are investing in the growth and empowerment of the AANHPI community. This experience will enhance their careers, inspire them to drive positive change, and enable them to contribute meaningfully to society.”

“The ILF Civic Fellowship Program provides exceptional AANHPI students with a unique chance to intern in Washington DC, where they gain practical experience with public policy issues,” said Executive Director Linh Hoang. “Through our extensive program, we educate fellows by immersing them in leadership development seminars, facilitating interactions with influential business, government, and community leaders, and offering personalized mentoring and networking opportunities. This comprehensive approach ensures our fellows are well-prepared to advance their careers and become impactful, civically engaged leaders in their communities.”
